Landlord-Tenant / Housing
When you rent a house or an apartment, you enter into a legal contract with someone. With this contract begins what is known as a landlord-tenant relationship. As a tenant, you have certain rights and responsibilities. Housing Law (also known as Landlord-Tenant Law) includes: evictions, housing code violations, housing discrimination, security deposit disputes and many other types of conflicts which may arise in the landlord-tenant relationship.
Our office represents tenants in all types of disputes in private and public housing (including Section 8 disputes). We also handle cases where an injury has occurred because of a housing condition or failure of a landlord or property manager to comply with the State Sanitary Code (105 CMR 410).
